Market Cross supports Family Science Day at Dorset Museum

Three Market Cross members travelled to Dorset Museum and Art Gallery in Dorchester to support Family Science Day on 16th March. We shared the beautiful Victorian hall with a number of innovative science related organisations, companies and community groups both local and national.

Our stand included modules representing different radiation related subjects, activities and handouts. Some very informative material was also kindly provided by the Society for Radiological Protection (SRP).

We encouraged as many people as we could to get involved in the wonderful natural world of natural and man-made radiation, while helping everyone to understand, and get into perspective, the risks of ionising radiation.

You need a very sensitive detector to see the radiation from a curling stone! But its there.

Risk Assessment Support for Local Fete

As part of our committment to community support projects Market Cross provided voluntary support to the Osmington summer fete this month. A full risk assessment was carried out and a number of recommendations were made. Of course, these were implemented prior to commencement of the fun and games.

We are looking for an Assistant Development Manager to help us explore exciting new opportunities in the Health, Safety and Environment sectors. The successful candidate will be expected to: work closely with the directors and industry representatives to identify new business opportunities; work with company members to identify, shortlist and manage our community commitments; use, maintain and improve the business advertising infrastructure and use and maintain the online business management system (BMS).

Market Cross – Finalist at the 2019 GTR UK Export Showcase

Today Market Cross is at the Global Trade Review 2019 talking about UK Export Planning.  Market Cross is a GTR UK Export Action Plan Showcase finalist and we will be setting out our plan for exporting our services to the EU and the rest of the world. NDA 2018 Supply Chain Event

Market Cross at the 2018 NDA Estate Supply Chain Event

We were exhibiting at the NDA supply chain event last week. This year our stand was in the ‘People Zone’ which is an area of the exhibition exclusively allocated to companies working to support people within the nuclear industry.

We believe it was our unique community based business model, our work on skills development, our membership recruitment campaign and our efforts to address equality, diversity and inclusion attracted the attention of the event organisers.

A big thank you to all who came to see us and we look forward to meeting up again soon.
